Ibitipoca State Park

The Ibitipoca State Park offers a variety of attractions for people interested in hiking. The park has 11 miles of protected land, and contains numerous waterfalls, streams, caves, vegetation, birds, and animals. There are over 200 species of birds located throughout the region. The Ibitipoca state park also has the second biggest quartz cave in the world. Most visitors spend three days to walk through the trails of the park. Ibitipoca has three main trails, called circuits, the water circuit, Janela do Céu circuit, and the Ponte de Pedra circuit. The water circuit of Ibitipoca has numerous waterfalls, and water holes swim in. The time to hike the trail without stopping is about one hour, but the majority of people spend time swimming and sun bathing on the small beaches near the water holes.
